On Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14, 2025, the historic center of Montauban vibrated to the rhythm of its memory with the new edition of Les 400 Coups. Hundreds of participants in period costumes invaded the streets of the medieval bastide, recreating the troubled atmosphere of the 17th-century Wars of Religion.

Equestrian Shows in the Heart of the City

The equestrian shows were the most anticipated moment of the weekend, with riders in armor and period costumes presenting high-level dressage, charge reenactments, and spectacular jousts on the city center esplanades. The large audience witnessed these performances in a festive and popular atmosphere.

Falconry Demonstrations

The falconry demonstrations attracted many curious onlookers, young and old, around the falconers who presented their birds of prey and explained this ancient art. The commented flights fascinated a delighted family audience with these unusual encounters with birds of prey.

Street Theater and Medieval Market

The street theater companies offered humorous historical sketches recounting the events of the 1621 siege and daily life in the Middle Ages. The medieval market brought together artisans and craftspeople in period costumes, with introductory workshops on ancient crafts for children.

The entire weekend was offered free of charge, in accordance with the tradition of this event open to all.
