Edition 2025 — Arts Foreztiers
The 10th edition of the Les Arts Foreztiers festival was held from July 18 to 21, 2025, in Chavaniac-Lafayette on the theme "By the Grace of the Forests." Forty-four national and international artists took over the village with paintings, sculptures, textiles, ceramics, photographs, and installations. The program included evening electroacoustic concerts at the Ferme Saint Éloi, dance and singing performances, conferences on the forest, a guided botanical walk by the National Botanical Conservatory of the Massif Central, and creative workshops for all ages.
2025 Edition — By the Grace of the Forests
For its 10th edition, the Les Arts Foreztiers festival explored the theme "By the Grace of the Forests," inviting about fifty artists and speakers to question the relationships between contemporary creation and the forest environment. The works were exhibited for free exploration in the village, mainly at the Ferme Saint Éloi and the Garages du Prévent.
Forty-four Artists Gathered
The 2025 edition hosted 44 artists working in various disciplines: painting, sculpture, textile, ceramics, photography, and installations. The creators, from France and abroad, installed their works themselves and remained present throughout the festival to interact with visitors.
Concerts and Performances
The evenings at the Ferme Saint Éloi featured electroacoustic concerts: Albert David in duet with dancer Céline Mounier (Friday, July 18), Jean-Claude Heudin (Saturday, July 19), and Fabien Auréjac in the closing concert (Monday, July 21). Dance and singing performances by Catherine Marquette and Céline Mounier, videos by Chinese women videographers presented by Ziqi Peng, and literary readings by Isis Noor Yalagi punctuated the days.
Conferences and Nature Walks
Conferences were held in the Salle des Fêtes: Raphaël Devred on the Rambouillet forest (Saturday, July 19) and theologian-botanist Otto Schaefer on "The Grace of the Plant" (Sunday, July 20, and Monday, July 21). The Pays d'Art et d'Histoire du Haut-Allier offered a guided tour of the festival on Saturday at 2:30 pm, and the National Botanical Conservatory of the Massif Central organized a forest walk on Monday at 2:30 pm.
Workshops and Activities
Permanent workshops were offered: cyanotype, dreamcatcher creation, and children's workshops led by visual artist Martine Guitton. The entire program was free and open access.
