Les Boréales 2024 — 32nd Edition: Finland in the Spotlight
The 32nd edition of Les Boréales took place from November 20 to 30, 2024, in Caen and throughout Normandy, with Finland as the guest of honor. The festival presented a rich program combining literature, performing arts, music, cinema, and exhibitions.
Among the highlights, author Sofi Oksanen hosted roundtables with three winners of the Finlandia Prize: Jukka Viikilä, Pajtim Statovci, and Pirkko Saisio. The Finnish country band Steve 'N' Seagulls performed their bluegrass versions of hard rock songs. The acrobatic duo Katerina Repponen and Pasi Nousiainen presented a circus show. Artists from Iceland, Sweden, and Lithuania completed the lineup.
