5th Edition — "Passions": Over 3,000 Spectators Captivated
For its 5th edition, the Les ClisSonnantes festival explored the theme of "Passions" from October 3 to 6, 2024, bringing together over 3,000 spectators through an ambitious program blending sacred, symphonic, and intimate works.
A Program Centered on Human Passions
The program drew from masterpieces of the classical repertoire: Fauré's Requiem, Vivaldi's Gloria, Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1, Grieg's Peer Gynt, Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus, and Fauré's Cantique de Jean Racine. The highlight concert "Sacred Passions," held on Saturday, October 5, at the Notre-Dame church, was a pivotal moment of this edition.
A Historic Gospel Concert
A significant innovation was the concert by the group Basic Colors, who performed gospel music under the Halles of Clisson, attracting 400 spectators in a festive and warm atmosphere, demonstrating the festival's openness to related genres.
Female Composers Honored
The 2024 edition also highlighted works by female composers, continuing the festival's commitment to increasing the visibility of women in the history of classical music, initiated in the 2021 edition.
Growing Reach
With approximately 15% of the audience under 18 and a reach that is now departmental, regional, and national, the festival has confirmed its growing momentum and its ability to reach diverse audiences.
