Edition 2022 — Divas du Jazz
The 1st edition of the Les Divas du Jazz festival was held from July 1st to 3rd, 2022, in Châteaubriant and Moisdon-la-Rivière. This brand-new free open-air festival offered three days of concerts celebrating four great female jazz voices: Jany McPherson, Camille Mandineau, Virginia Constantine, and Katrin Merili.

1st Edition — Birth of a Unique Festival in France
In July 2022, the Communauté de Communes Châteaubriant-Derval launched an unprecedented event in the French festival scene: Les Divas du Jazz, the first festival entirely dedicated to female jazz voices. Under the artistic direction of Jean-Philippe Vidal, this first edition took over the streets and squares of Châteaubriant on Friday, July 1st, and Saturday, July 2nd, before continuing on Sunday, July 3rd, in Moisdon-la-Rivière.
Four singers were featured: Jany McPherson, a Cuban-American pianist and singer, Camille Mandineau, Virginia Constantine, and Katrin Merili. They were accompanied by numerous ensembles: Jazz à la Quarte, Swing Guitars, Terra Jazz Quintet, Irina Leach Jazz Trio, Django Tribute, and Thomas Mayeras Jazz Quartet.
The evenings continued with open jam sessions (Friday Night and Saturday Night), in the friendly spirit that now characterizes the festival.
