40th edition - Les Embuscades celebrates its 40th anniversary

The Les Embuscades festival celebrated its 40th anniversary from September 24 to October 11, 2025, with a special edition titled 'A Burlesque Symphony in the Land of the Unknown'. Nearly 10,000 spectators attended this historic edition.

Highlights of the 2025 edition

• Devos Gala: opening night on September 24 in homage to the illustrious Raymond Devos, with a selection of artists from Belgium led by master of ceremonies Bruno Coppens
• Anniversary evening in Cossé-le-Vivien with Compagnie OPUS and Jérôme Rouger
• Village evenings to connect with the audience in the surrounding towns
• Surprise evenings orchestrated by Compagnie Joseph K
• Humor Nights bringing together musicians and comedians
• Burlesque theater evening with clowns, music, and satire

This edition was hailed as a success, confirming that Les Embuscades is "the only festival in Mayenne run by an association that has existed for over 40 years".
