The 2025 edition featured four programs showcasing the full richness of lyric arts, from musical humor to comic opera, sacred music to Italian recital.
Looking for a watery piano to play Schubert’s Trout
The festival opened on Sunday, June 29 at the Théâtre de Bourg-en-Bresse with this humorous show by Compagnie Lychore, featuring Jean-François Vinciguerra (baritone and actor) and Jean-Marc Bouget (piano).
The Barber of Seville – Rossini
Presented on Saturday, July 5 and Monday, July 7 at 9 PM in the Church of Brou. Cast: Aurore Daubrun, Corentin Backès, Joachim Coffinier-Barry, with the Choeur Départemental de l’Ain under Catherine Rouard.
Fauré’s Requiem and works by Franck and Saint-Saëns
Sacred music on Sunday, July 6 at 7 PM and Tuesday, July 8 at 8 PM, with soprano Clémence Poncet and baritone Jean-Baptiste Dumora.
Three Tenors in Italy
A festive recital on Wednesday, July 9 at 9 PM in the second cloister, with tenors Corentin Backès, Philippe Jacquiard and Georges Wanis, pianist Laurent Touche.
