The Operetta: Offenbach's Les Brigands
The centerpiece of the 2025 edition was the production of the operetta Les Brigands by Jacques Offenbach (libretto by Meilhac and Halévy), performed on August 14, 16, and 17 at the Centre de Rencontres in Champignelles, under the musical direction and staging of Philippe Brocard. The Maîtrise Saint-Louis de Gonzague and the Estivales soloists delivered a colorful performance that was so successful it was reprised at the Théâtre du Lycée Saint-Louis de Gonzague in Paris on January 10 and 11, 2026.
The Symphonic Concert
On August 20 in Saint-Sauveur-en-Puisaye, the Estivales Symphony Orchestra and the Prague Camerata Bohemiana Orchestra, united under the baton of Rémi Gousseau, presented a program of Mendelssohn – Bartók – Ravel – Beethoven, featuring Gaëtane Prouvost on violin in Ravel's Tzigane and Beethoven's 7th Symphony to conclude.
Chamber Concerts and Recitals
On August 16 at the church in Aillant-sur-Milleron (Loiret), cellist Olivia Gay and pianist Aurélien Pontier performed works by Elgar, Fauré, Schumann, Dvořák, and Grieg in a program titled Le Silence de la forêt (The Silence of the Forest). On August 22 in Saint-Aubin-Château-Neuf, mezzo-soprano Marie Gautrot, accompanied on piano by Frédéric Rouillon, offered a journey from Handel to Piazzolla.
Sacred Music and the Evening at the Château
On August 15, the Maîtrise Saint-Louis de Gonzague and the Camerata Bohemiana Orchestra celebrated the national holiday with a sacred music concert at the church of Toucy: Vivaldi, Pergolesi, and a world premiere by Rémi Gousseau. On August 17, the Château de Saint-Fargeau hosted Une diva corse au château (A Corsican Diva at the Château), with soprano Amélie Tatti.
The Closing Concert in Auxerre
