33rd Edition: The Hat Celebration

From July 10 to 13, 2025, Caussade celebrated for the 33rd time Les Estivales du Chapeau, its unique international hat festival in France. This edition once again confirmed the vitality of this singular event which attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year to the capital of straw hats in Tarn-et-Garonne.

The 2025 International Hat Competition brought together participants from all over France and several European countries. The creations presented demonstrated limitless inventiveness: monumental hats made from natural materials, headwear inspired by local fauna and flora, contemporary reinterpretations of the great classics of Quercy millinery, wearable works of art... The professional jury had a difficult task in distinguishing the candidates in the various competition categories.

The parades crossed the streets of the town center on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, transforming Caussade into a giant stage for a festive and colorful procession. Several hundred participants in gala outfits, period dresses, and extravagant hats offered the public a colorful spectacle.

The evening concerts gathered thousands of spectators each night in the town squares. The 2025 program included: a jazz evening with a quartet from Toulouse, a world music evening with a group of Mediterranean and African influences, and the unmissable bandas that had the crowd dancing until the early hours of the morning during the closing evening.
