Edition 2025 — Folles Journées Polyphoniques
2025 edition of the Folles Journées Polyphoniques in the Viaur Valley, from May 29 to 31 (Ascension weekend). Vocal music concerts, sacred and profane polyphonies in the rural chapels around Jouqueviel.
Ascension 2025 in the Viaur Valley
For the 2025 edition, the Folles Journées Polyphoniques brought together choral music lovers and curious walkers for three days (May 29-31) in the magnificent Viaur Valley. Ascension weekend was once again an opportunity to rediscover the region's medieval chapels through the lens of vocal music.
The Ensemble Urmas and its invited ensembles took over several chapels to offer a program of sacred polyphonies ranging from the Middle Ages to contemporary composers. The intimate and contemplative concerts benefited from the exceptional natural acoustics of the Romanesque buildings, offering spectators a musically intense and emotionally rich experience.
The festival's itinerant format encouraged the public to walk between the different concert venues, turning the day into a musical stroll through the valley's wild landscapes, its chestnut forests, and its stone hamlets. An experience that is as cultural as it is natural, typical of the deep identity of this unique festival in Tarn.
