2025 Edition - May 17th and 18th
The 2025 edition of Les Heures Historiques brought together nearly 1,500 volunteer reenactors on May 17th and 18th, 2025, in the park of Sully-sur-Loire Castle. Major new feature: for the first time, the castle courtyard was open free of charge to all visitors, with activities offered by the company "Le Clos du Métayer".
On Saturday at 10:30 AM, the grand historical costumed parade traversed the town streets before the inauguration of the encampments at 11:30 AM. Visitors could explore reenactments ranging from Prehistory to the 1960s: prehistoric people, Roman garrisons, medieval knights, musketeers, Napoleonic soldiers, and combatants from the World Wars.
On the program: battle reenactments, falconry shows, historical dance demonstrations, cannon and rifle firings, herbalism, games for young knights, and a large multi-period market. Food stalls and restaurants offered medieval meals and local specialties. On Saturday evening, fireworks concluded the day.
