Edition 2025 — Icares du Cinéma

The 43rd edition of Les Icares du Cinéma was held from September 16 to 21, 2025, in Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet, featuring 25 films in official competition from around the world. The Icare d'Or was awarded to the film “Team Solares” by Jeisson Zarate. The jury consisted of Luisa Montrosset, Freddy Montigny, Dino Raffault, Julie Collard, and Jean-Baptiste Loiselet. Nearly 5,000 spectators attended the screenings.

43rd Edition — International Aerial Film Festival

The 43rd edition of Les Icares du Cinéma took place from September 16 to 21, 2025, in the Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet projection hall, as part of the 52nd Coupe Icare. 25 films in official competition from around the world were screened to nearly 5,000 spectators passionate about free flight, mountains, and aerial adventure.

Screening Program

Tuesday, September 16

The opening evening began at 6:30 PM with a first selection of French films, including X'Pyr (49 min) and Remuer ciel et terre (15 min). The 9:00 PM screening presented the moving documentary One Team, One Dreamer – Kili Hand'Icare (54 min), the story of a solidarity adventure combining free flight and disability on the slopes of Kilimanjaro.

Wednesday, September 17

The international program continued with the Spanish film Peligro No Asomarse (49 min) at 6:30 PM, followed in the evening by Samuel Volery: The Slackline Legend (Netherlands, 29 min) and the spectacular Over Iceland (USA, 57 min), an aerial exploration of Icelandic landscapes.

Thursday, September 18

Swiss, British, and Colombian productions took the stage, with films blending sporting prowess and moving human stories.

Friday, September 19 — Awards Ceremony

The solemn awards ceremony was held at 7:00 PM, bringing together the juries, directors, and the audience to celebrate the year's best productions.

Saturday, September 20

The award-winning films were screened during a special session, allowing spectators to discover or rediscover the honored works.

Carte Blanche

A carte blanche was given to the Dutch Mountain Festival (Cervino CineMountain Film Festival), allowing the screening of rare and unseen productions dedicated to mountains and outdoor sports.

The 2025 Jury

The professional jury comprised Luisa Montrosset, Freddy Montigny, Dino Raffault, Julie Collard, and Jean-Baptiste Loiselet, bringing together complementary expertise in cinema, audiovisual production, and free flight.
