Edition 2025 — Médiévales de Crémieu
The 20th edition of Les Médiévales de Crémieu was held on September 13 and 14, 2025. For two days, the fortified medieval town hosted up to 30,000 visitors for a total immersion in the heart of the Middle Ages, with over 100 street performances, a medieval camp, falconry and equestrian shows, a craft market, and banquets under the Halle.

20th Edition — September 2025
Les Médiévales de Crémieu celebrated their 20th edition on September 13 and 14, 2025, confirming the event's status as one of the largest medieval festivals in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The fortified town of Crémieu welcomed up to 30,000 visitors who came to dive back into the heart of the Middle Ages.
Street Shows and Parades
The two days were marked by the grand opening parades at 11 AM, followed by over 100 free performances in the town's streets between 1:30 PM and 6 PM. The professional troupes Caminaire, Saboï, and Les Goliards enchanted the audience with juggling, dancing, medieval music, acrobatics, and fire-eating.
Camp at Pré Minssieux
The Pré Minssieux hosted a large medieval camp animated by knights and artisans. Visitors could witness choreographed fights, siege warfare demonstrations, and cannon firings, as well as the famous candy catapult for the younger ones.
Paid Shows
Three major shows were offered at Pré Minssieux:
- Falconry: Demonstrations of free-flying raptors at 2:15 PM and 5:15 PM
- Equestrian Show “L'embuscade” (The Ambush): at 3:45 PM
- Fire Show “Torche de lumière” (Torch of Light): Saturday at 9 PM
Medieval Market and Banquets
The medieval market took over the town center with its artisans, creators, and producers. The banquets under the Halle brought together 350 guests per service for medieval menus at €20 per person, on Saturday evening and Sunday lunch.
Free Workshops and Activities
Numerous free participatory workshops allowed visitors to try archery, medieval fencing, coin striking, woodturning, and traditional wooden games. Giant chess games also animated the town squares.
