37th Edition: Latin Music in the Heart of the Velay

The 37th edition of Les Musicales du Puy-en-Velay took place from July 10 to 19, 2024, with participants welcomed on Tuesday, July 10, from 2 p.m., and workshops beginning on Wednesday, July 11, at 9 a.m. The festival offered eight days of intensive workshops held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., totaling approximately 50 hours of training led by professional teachers and musicians.

The program included about ten workshops covering choirs, instrumental music, dance, and sound technique, as well as five evening concerts on the Esplanade Claude Nougaro. The off-program events featured a milonga evening on Monday, July 11, and a Cuban night on Thursday, July 14, both with free admission.

True to its tradition, the festival explored the extraordinary repertoire of Latin music, from the heart of Europe to South America, via Africa and the Caribbean, in a warm, festive, and passionate atmosphere.
