2024 Season: the tympanum comes back to life in color
The 2024 season of the Nocturnes de Conques took place from April 6 to October 15, offering its enchanting program every evening. At 9:00 PM, the presentation of the tympanum allowed visitors to discover the history and symbolism of the Last Judgment. At 9:30 PM, the musical tour of the galleries offered privileged access to the upper parts of the abbey church, close to the Romanesque capitals and the stained glass windows by Pierre Soulages. At 10:15 PM, the polychrome illumination of the tympanum was the highlight of the evening, revealing the forgotten colors of the medieval sculptures.
