Les Nuits Celtiques de Nesle

14th Edition: Brittany and Ireland in the Spotlight

The 14th edition of Les Nuits Celtiques took place on May 2nd and 3rd, 2025 at La Nouvelle Scène in Nesle, with David Hopi Hopkins as the festival's patron. Four concerts punctuated two intense evenings of Celtic music.

On Friday evening, the Erwan Menguy Quartet opened the festivities with a Breton flute set accompanied by guitar, cithern, and double bass, followed by Grand Large, a group blending flutes, violins, guitars, and bagpipes in an energetic Celtic pop-rock style.

On Saturday afternoon, a free introduction to Irish music offered by Irish Mor and Manaor allowed the audience to discover the bodhrán and traditional Irish instruments. In the evening, Barzaz, an emblematic Breton music group reformed for the occasion, delivered a memorable concert, followed by the Julien Loko Irish Band, which set the hall vibrating with the rhythms of traditional Irish music.

The Celtic village, open from 4 PM on Friday and 2 PM on Saturday, featured its stands of artisans, exhibitors, and catering.
