The 37th edition of Les Nuits Lyriques de Marmande offers a rich program combining opera, recitals, cinema, and an international singing competition.
Opera
La Fille du régiment, a 2-act opera by Gaetano Donizetti, under the musical direction of Philippe Mestres and directed by Hye Myung Kang. This comic opera, 185 years after its creation, remains astonishingly modern: a joyful and burlesque anthem that subtly questions social and military conventions.
