29th Edition — British and Irish Cinema

For its 29th edition, Les Reflets du Cinéma explored the richness of British and Irish cinema from March 14 to 22, 2025. The festival presented a panorama ranging from classics of British social cinema to the most daring contemporary productions, including the revival of Irish cinema.

Focus on Ken Loach and Andrea Arnold

Two major focuses marked this edition: one dedicated to the immense Ken Loach, an emblematic figure of British social cinema whose work has consistently given a voice to society's forgotten, and the other dedicated to the talented Andrea Arnold, a director with a unique perspective on the margins and youth of Britain. These retrospectives allowed the audience to (re)discover the filmographies of two major filmmakers of contemporary cinema.

Carte Blanche to the Dinard Film Festival

In echo to this island theme, the Dinard Film Festival offered a carte blanche by selecting several films representative of its program, creating a dialogue between the two festivals around cinema from across the Channel.
