Edition 2025 — Rencontres Chaland
The 18th edition of Les Rencontres Chaland will be held on October 4th and 5th, 2025 in Nérac. The guest of honor is Stanislas, heir to Hergé and founding member of L'Association. The theme of the edition: "Drawn Objects, Do You Have a Soul?". Professional days on October 2nd and youth days on October 3rd.

Rencontres Chaland 2025 - 18th Edition
The 18th edition of Les Rencontres Chaland will be held on October 4th and 5th, 2025 in Nérac. The guest of honor for this edition is Stanislas (Stanislas Barthélémy), heir to Hergé and founding member of L'Association, an innovative independent comic publishing house.
The chosen theme for this edition is "Drawn Objects, Do You Have a Soul?", exploring the dialogue between Ligne Claire and objects in comic strips. Among the invited authors are Guy Delisle, Jean-Christophe Menu, Loo Hui Phang, and Lolita Couturier.
The 2024-2025 reading prizes will be awarded during the festival: the Jeune Albert prize to Lolita Couturier for Retour à Epsilon volume 1 (Les Humanoïdes Associés) and the Petit Albert prize to Mathieu Sapin for L'Oeil du loup.
The exhibitions of original artwork will be visible at the Galerie des Tanneries from October 4th to November 16th, 2025.

- Youth Days: school meetings with invited authors
Saturday, October 4th and Sunday, October 5th
- 10 am - 7 pm: Signings and meetings with authors at Espace d'Albret
- Exhibitions in various locations around the city
- Conferences and screenings at Le Margot cinema
- Comic strip workshops for children aged 7 and up (10 am-12 pm and 2 pm-4 pm)
- Award ceremony for the Jeune Albert and Petit Albert 2025 prizes
