Edition 2025 — Rencontres de Monthelon
The 20th edition of Les Rencontres de Monthelon took place from July 24 to 26, 2025, at the Château de Monthelon in Montréal, Yonne. An emblematic anniversary, this edition brought together about twenty artists for three evenings blending contemporary circus, theatre, concerts, and installations, exploring the complexity and richness of the human experience through poetry, music, dance, and humor.

20th Edition — July 2025
Les Rencontres de Monthelon celebrated their twentieth anniversary from July 24 to 26, 2025, at the Château de Monthelon. A particularly rich anniversary edition, themed around "what we have that is precious and powerful," bringing together resident artists and invited companies for three unforgettable evenings.
The shows presented illustrated the vitality and diversity of the château's artistic project: Cie Muchemuche presented L'Amour, a piece of expressive circus with live music; Cie Fantôme offered L'Expédition Dönner, a visual theatre adaptation under the festival tent; Cie Anomalie presented V'là, a fusion of circus and science fiction. In the evening, Haitian-Canadian singer Mélissa Laveaux gave an intimate guitar concert, while the groups Clameurs (eclectic oriental music) and Avalanche Kaïto (electro-world) animated the late evenings.
The free-access installations, photographic exhibitions, aerial circus activities for young audiences, and participatory workshops completed a program that extended from the early afternoon to the heart of the night. The restaurant, bar, and dance floor welcomed the approximately one thousand spectators who came from all over the department and beyond to celebrate two decades of Rencontres.
