43rd edition: Monteverdi and Bach resonate in the abbey church
The 43rd edition of Les Rencontres Musicales de Conques took place in August 2025, confirming the festival's place among the most prestigious classical music events in the Occitanie region. Under the artistic direction of Jean-François Zygel, the program once again explored the bridges between ancient, classical, and contemporary music.
Among the highlights of this edition, the ensemble Spirito presented a Monteverdi-Bach program in the Sainte-Foy Abbey Church, showcasing the exceptional acoustics of this Romanesque nave. Internationally renowned artists and ensembles performed in the festival's three venues, offering a rich program from 10:30 AM to 10:30 PM.
