Edition 2025 — L'Étrange Festival
The 31st edition of L'Étrange Festival was held from September 2 to 13, 2025, at the Forum des Images in Paris. For twelve days, the festival offered a rich and varied program: official competition, carte blanches, tributes, exhibitions, concerts, and discoveries of all kinds, confirming its status as an unmissable event for genre cinema in France.

31st Edition — September 2025
The 2025 edition of L'Étrange Festival offered a dense and eclectic program for twelve days at the Forum des Images. Among the highlights, the festival paid tribute to the painter and director Robert Lapoujade, in partnership with the CNC, and presented a special evening dedicated to the British actress Barbara Steele and the Italian gothic horror films of the 1960s in which she starred.
Programming and Retrospectives
The festival also presented the complete Lady Yakuza cycle in a restored version, in collaboration with Carlotta Films, as well as a program centered around the Grand Guignol theater. The official competition featured genre films from around the world, blending horror, science fiction, thriller, and unclassifiable works.
A Multifaceted Festival
Beyond cinema, L'Étrange Festival 2025 offered concerts, exhibitions, and Q&A sessions with the film crews, providing an immersive experience in the world of genre cinema.
