37th edition: Ireland in the spotlight
The 37th edition of the Littératures Européennes Cognac festival took place from November 14 to 17, 2024 with Ireland as the guest country. The festival offered a rich program combining meetings with Irish authors, readings, conferences, round tables, and shows, spread across the Salamandre, the Couvent des Récollets, the Fondation d'entreprise Martell, and the Maison du Négociant.
Ireland, a land of literature par excellence that gave birth to James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett, and Seamus Heaney, offered the Cognac audience a panorama of its contemporary literature through its most talented authors.
