Edition 2025 — The First Romantics
The 2025 edition of the Les Premiers Romantiques et la Nature festival was held around Pentecost at the Château de Malmaison, exploring the relationship between Romantic music and nature through seven concerts and a study day, featuring period instruments and rare French and German repertoires.
2025 Edition — Pentecost at the Château de Malmaison
The 2025 edition featured seven concerts and a study day centered on the early Romantics and their relationship with nature. Under the artistic direction of soprano Camille Chapron and her musician colleagues, the program alternated between German Lieder evoking forests and rivers, French pieces singing of blooming gardens, and contemporary creations playing with the sounds of nature. The historic Érard (1806) and Wilkinson (1817) pianos offered unique period sound colors within the castle's Napoleonic setting.
