32nd Marché Potier d'Auvillar — October 2025
On October 11 and 12, 2025, the circular hall of Auvillar and the narrow streets of this Most Beautiful Village of France hosted the 32nd edition of the Marché Potier, bringing together about fifty potters and ceramicists from all over France for this unmissable annual event for art ceramics in Tarn-et-Garonne.
The exhibitors selected by the organizing committee offered an extraordinarily rich palette of ceramic creations: stoneware fired in wood kilns with powerful and natural glazes, porcelain of remarkable fineness and lightness, raku with metallic glazes and smoke effects, silky-smooth terra sigillata, ambitious sculpted pieces, and installations. Visitors could wander from stand to stand, discuss techniques and artistic approaches with the creators, and purchase pieces directly from the artisans.
The clay sculpture competition brought together several potters who modeled sculpted pieces on a given theme live, before the eyes of the public gathered around the circular hall. This moment of shared creation and friendly competition was one of the highlights of the 2025 edition.
The public modeling workshop allowed dozens of visitors — adults and children — to try their hand at clay work under the guidance of experienced potters. These workshops were a success, illustrating the public's desire not only to look but also to touch and create.

Marché Potier 2025 Program
- Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.: Pottery market — about fifty exhibitors under the hall and in the streets
- Saturday and Sunday: Turning and ceramic techniques demonstrations by exhibitors
- Saturday afternoon: Live clay sculpture competition — selected potters, imposed theme, jury and public
- Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.: Public modeling workshop — adults and children
- Sunday morning: Award ceremony for the sculpture competition
