43rd edition: VERDI...SSIMO, Verdi's Requiem for the first time in Massat
The 43rd edition of the Massat Music Mountain festival took place from July 12 to 26, 2025, under the direction of Olivier Delafosse. The program, titled VERDI...SSIMO, featured Verdi's Requiem for the first time in Massat, a monumental work in the choral and orchestral repertoire.
About sixty choristers worked on this demanding score for two weeks, culminating in two exceptional concerts: on July 24 at Saint-Lizier Cathedral and on July 25 at Biert Church, accompanied by the orchestra and professional soloists. Chamber music concerts completed the program.
