Medieval Festival of the Château de la Chèze

Medieval Festival 2024

The 2024 edition of the Medieval Festival of the Château de la Chèze took place on July 20 and 21, 2024, in Le Cheylard. Visitors could discover recreated 15th-century encampments and participate in numerous educational workshops: medieval cooking, costume history, clay shield making, and flute making.

Choreographed combats, knight armor speed contests, and introductions to medieval fencing and archery animated both days. Musical groups and medieval dances ensured the festive atmosphere.

On Saturday evening, the castle banquet welcomed guests for a period meal (reservations at 7:30 PM), followed by the pyrotechnic show 'The Legend of Tubalcaïn'.
