7th Medieval Festival — Medieval Warfare and Medicine (2025)

The 7th edition of the Medieval Festival took place on September 6 and 7, 2025, at the Commanderie d'Avalleur and in the park of the Château de Val-Seine. This edition, dedicated to the theme of medieval warfare and medicine, offered an exceptional immersion into the world of the Templars and Hospitallers.

The troupe Blancs Manteaux, specialists in the Templar period, set up a vast living camp with:

• Knight combat demonstrations and parade
• Presentation of the Order of the Templars
• Interactive workshops: archery, medieval surgery, wood carving

On Saturday, September 6, at 9 pm, a torchlight procession animated the streets of Bar-sur-Seine, followed by a fire show and fireworks. On Sunday, activities continued from 10 am to 6 pm. Admission was free, with catering on site.

2025 Program

• Saturday, September 6 (10 am-7 pm): Blancs Manteaux camp, combats, archery workshops, medieval surgery, wood carving, presentation of the Order of the Templars
• Saturday, September 6 (9 pm): Torchlight procession in Bar-sur-Seine, fire show and fireworks
• Sunday, September 7 (10 am-6 pm): Camp, combats, workshops, parade
