23rd Edition — Return to the Historic Center
The 23rd edition of Melun Fête son Brie marked a special moment: the return of the festival to its original historic center perimeter, with the pedestrian streets once again accessible after four years of urban development work.
On Saturday, October 4, 2025, approximately 15,000 visitors strolled through the 110 stands of producers and artisans set up in the pedestrian streets and on Place Saint-Jean. In the morning, the Brie de Melun Competition was held at the Hôtel de Ville, awarding the best Brie de Melun AOP producers.
The afternoon was marked by the Harmonie de Melun (3 p.m.-4 p.m.), the parade of brotherhoods (4 p.m.-5 p.m.), and the chapter of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Brie de Melun (5 p.m.-7 p.m.) with the induction of new members. Brass bands, street entertainment, an educational farm, an exhibition on Bries, and a Seine river cruise with tasting completed this festive day.
