Mélusine Festival

12th Edition — July 2025

For its twelfth edition, on July 5th and 6th, 2025, the Mélusine Festival offered three concerts in the remarkable garden of the Commanderie du Saulce. A colorful edition, bringing together a cello-piano duo and two piano recitals in the romantic setting of the Templar estate of Escolives-Sainte-Camille.

Concert Program

• Saturday, July 5th at 5 PM — Éric Astoul, piano: Beethoven / Liszt — transcriptions and original works, exploring the dialogue between the two titans of romantic piano.
• Saturday, July 5th at 8:30 PM — Guillaume Martigné (cello) and Éric Astoul (piano): Brahms, Debussy, Bloch, Beethoven, Popper — a chamber music recital blending late romanticism and early 20th-century modernity.
• Sunday, July 6th at 2 PM — Maxime Zecchini, piano: Mozart, Saint-Saëns, Fauré, Debussy, Gershwin, Satie, Michel Legrand, Bernstein, French songs — an enchanted journey from classics to jazz, from film music to popular songs.

The Setting and Atmosphere

As with every edition, the concerts were interspersed with a country buffet served in the commandery's courtyard, and a guided tour of the historic estate and its remarkable park, with the owner Bertrand Deroubaix. The 2025 edition once again confirmed the uniqueness and incomparable charm of this human-scale festival, where the proximity between artists and the public creates all the magic of the experience.
