Edition 2025 — Christmas Market of Avallon
The Avallon Christmas Market 2025 was held on Saturday, December 13th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the historic town center. Numerous local artisans and creators, Christmas troupe parade, workshops for children, raffle, and the arrival of Santa Claus at 4 p.m. made up this festive and free day, organized with the support of the Grand Vézelay Tourist Office.

Avallon Christmas Market 2025: A Festive Day on December 13th
On Saturday, December 13th, 2025, the historic center of Avallon hosted the Christmas Market from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Numerous local artisans and creators offered their handmade creations—jewelry, ceramics, textiles, natural soaps, gastronomy—in the pedestrian streets and squares of the old town.
Throughout the day, the Christmas troupe paraded through the medieval alleys, offering visitors moments of live performance and festive entertainment. Creative workshops for children allowed the youngest to try their hand at making Christmas decorations. A raffle with many prizes offered by exhibitors and partners was drawn at the end of the day.
The highlight of the 2025 edition was the arrival of Santa Claus at 4 p.m., enthusiastically welcomed by children and their families. The great Saint Nicholas paraded through the aisles, distributed surprises, and welcomed children for photos and wishes. The event was completely free and organized with the support of the Grand Vézelay Tourist Office.
