Edition 2025 — Saint Nicholas of Metz
2025 edition of the Metz Saint Nicholas Festivities, on December 6th and 7th, with the theme of the polar world. Grand Parade with 300 participants and 6 floats from the Governor's Palace, shows on the Esplanade, passage of the mechanized Graoully, and 25,000 candies distributed.
Saint Nicholas 2025: The Polar World in Metz
The 2025 Saint Nicholas festivities took place on December 6th and 7th with the theme of the polar world, in connection with the International Year of Glacier Preservation. Saint Nicholas appeared on the balcony of the Governor's Palace, exceptionally replacing the Opera-Theater which was under renovation.
The Grand Parade on Sunday brought together 300 participants, 15 artistic groups, and 6 decorated floats on a 1.8 km route. 25,000 candies were distributed to children. On the Esplanade, the mechanized Graoully made its appearance on Saturday, while the Compagnie Cielo presented "L'Envol des Muses" on Sunday.

Saturday, December 6th
- 2 PM - 6 PM: Activities and giant lanterns on the Esplanade
- 3:30 PM: Passage of the mechanized Graoully
- Choirs and open-air shows
Sunday, December 7th
- 1:30 PM: Show "L'Envol des Muses" (Compagnie Cielo)
- 2 PM - 6 PM: Activities on the Esplanade
- 4:15 PM: Appearance of Saint Nicholas on the Governor's Palace balcony
- 4:30 PM: Start of the Grand Parade
- 5:30 PM: Arrival on Rue Winston Churchill
