23rd edition: Scott Hamilton headlines
The 23rd edition of the Mines de Jazz festival took place from April 30th to May 3rd, 2025. The highlight of this edition was the concert by American saxophonist Scott Hamilton, an emblematic figure of mainstream jazz, accompanied by the Michael Cheret Quartet, in a program paying tribute to the golden age of jazz.
The Jazz Walk, starting from the ASPIBD (Museum of Industrial and Mining Heritage) at 3 PM, allowed the public to stroll through the unique heritage of Decazeville punctuated by musical interludes. The film program included the screening of "Tirez sur le pianiste" by François Truffaut at Cinéma La Strada on April 16th. Jazz club evenings completed the program.
