Mixarts Festival 2025: The World Comes to Saint-Florentin

The 2025 edition of the Mixarts Festival brought together, over three days from Friday, May 23rd to Sunday, May 25th, a hundred artists from five continents in the enchanting setting of the Jardin de l'Octroi and the Théâtre Léo Ferré in Saint-Florentin. Driven by the volunteer energy of the Mixarts du Monde association and the support of local and regional partners, this edition confirmed the vitality and influence of a festival that makes intercultural exchange its credo.

The program included world music concerts under the stars in the Jardin de l'Octroi, indoor performances at the Théâtre Léo Ferré, participatory workshops in African percussion, Afro-Brazilian dance, and gospel singing open to all, young and old, as well as an association space bringing together about fifty engaged organizations. Visual arts and photography exhibitions dotted the festival-goer's path, while wandering brass bands animated the streets of the town center, joyfully mingling artists and residents.

True to its commitment to access to culture, the festival offered a large part of its program with free access, attracting a large and diverse audience from the rural communities of the Yonne region, as well as from Auxerre, Troyes, and the Paris region.
