Edition 2024 — Chanson à Texte Montcuq
19th edition of the Festival de la Chanson à Texte de Montcuq with a rich program of discoveries. François Morel closing, Alissa Wenz, Pierre-Paul Danzin, Claudine Lebègue, Nicolas Moro, and a tribute to Boby Lapointe by five female artists.
19th Edition: Discoveries and Headliners
The 19th edition of the Festival de la Chanson à Texte de Montcuq took place from July 17 to 20, 2024, in the courtyard of Jean-Jacques Faurie College. Presided over by Liliane Haussy, with artistic direction by Gérard Morel, this edition broke attendance records.
Wednesday, July 17 - Inauguration
Opening evening with official festival inauguration, speeches, and the vernissage of Didier Cazaban's photo exhibition.
Thursday, July 18
Alissa Wenz and Pierre-Paul Danzin opened the evening concerts. During the day, an encounter with the artists at 11:30 AM at Place de la Mairie and a singing café from 4 PM to 6 PM with eight emerging artists.
Friday, July 19
Claudine Lebègue followed by an exceptional show: five female artists paying tribute to Boby Lapointe.
Saturday, July 20
Nicolas Moro in the opening act, then the great François Morel for a memorable closing evening. The singing café hosted a total of 24 emerging artists over the three days, with a "favorite" chosen by the jury, programmed for the 2025 edition.
