Edition 2025 — Chanson à Texte Montcuq
20th anniversary edition of the Festival de la Chanson à Texte de Montcuq. Prestigious lineup with Juliette, Alexis HK and Benoît Dorémus in duet, Yoanna, Steve Normandin singing Piaf, Govrache, and Fanny Candéli, winner of the 2024 singing café.
20th Edition: An Anniversary in Songs
The Festival de la Chanson à Texte de Montcuq celebrates its 20th anniversary from July 16 to 19, 2025. For this anniversary edition, artistic director Gérard Morel has curated a bold, prestigious, and eclectic program.
Wednesday, July 16 - Inauguration
At 7 PM, in the courtyard of Jean-Jacques Faurie College, official inauguration with a surprise concert offering a retrospective of the past twenty years in songs, followed by speeches and a shared drink.
Thursday, July 17
Yoanna opens the festival. Provocative and witty, this singer accompanied by her accordion caused a sensation at the Avignon festival and won the first prize for Young Talents in Vesoul in October 2024. Opening act: Fanny Candéli, a singer-songwriter born in Montauban and winner of the 2024 singing café.
Friday, July 18
Alexis HK and Benoît Dorémus in duet, as well as Steve Normandin, a Quebecois accordionist, pianist, and singer revisiting the repertoire of Édith Piaf.
Saturday, July 19
Juliette, an essential figure of French chanson combining humor, originality, and commitment, accompanied by Christophe Devillers and Franck Steckar. Govrache, a Norman slam artist and former gypsy jazz guitarist, completes this closing evening.
