Mutoscope 2025 - 4th Edition
The 4th edition of Mutoscope took over the Comoedia cinema from January 10 to 12, 2025, for a weekend dedicated to the strangest, most unique, and boldest short films of contemporary creation.
Eight screenings were offered, including seven in competition, with a selection of fifty films from around the world. Three awards were presented: the Jury Prize, the Audience Award, and the Turfu Selection Prize, given by a jury of young filmmakers from CinéFabrique.
A highlight of this edition was a special closing screening dedicated to the avant-garde work of Maya Deren, a pioneer of American experimental cinema, featuring her films made between 1943 and 1959. This retrospective put into perspective the legacy of the most radical cinematic forms, at the heart of the festival's identity.
