The 15th edition of the CIC Normandy Channel Race set off on September 15, 2024, off Ouistreham with 25 Class40s. Fabien Delahaye and Benjamin Schwartz, on Legallais, took victory, marking the first Norman success in this Channel classic.
15th CIC Normandy Channel Race 2024
The 15th edition of the CIC Normandy Channel Race took place from September 13 to 22, 2024, with a start given on Sunday, September 15 at 1:10 PM off Ouistreham. 25 Class40s and 50 sailors took the start of this 1,000-mile race.
For the first time, a Norman was crowned winner: Fabien Delahaye and Benjamin Schwartz, aboard the Class40 Legallais, inscribed their names in the annals of this great classic. In the ranking of pointed-bow boats, Alexandre Le Gallais and Henri De Mallet on Trim Control took first place after leading from start to finish.
