Nuit des Étoiles de Nançay 2024
The Nuit des Étoiles de Nançay 2024 was held on Saturday, August 3rd at the Nançay stadium, starting at 6 p.m. The SAPC (Société Astronomique Populaire du Centre) hosted the evening with numerous astronomers equipped with their 80 to 400 mm telescopes.
Visitors could observe celestial bodies with the naked eye and telescope: the Moon, planets, Perseid meteors, and constellations. Conferences delved into astronomical themes. A market of local artisans and producers, concerts, and activities for young people completed the program in a festive and friendly atmosphere. The free event attracted several thousand visitors.
