Second edition of the Opéra Bastide festival, from July 16 to 27, 2025. Program included: Bizet's Carmen and The Fantasticks at the Théâtre des Bastides, four concerts in the bastide's historic buildings, international singing masterclasses, and about twenty free events.

2nd Edition — July 16 to 27, 2025
The second edition of Opéra Bastide took place from July 16 to 27, 2025, confirming the success of this young opera festival. Two major productions were presented at the Théâtre des Bastides:
- Bizet's Carmen: the most performed opera in the world, in an intimate staging in the heart of the bastide.
- The Fantasticks: a light and poetic musical comedy.
Four concerts were held in Villefranche's emblematic buildings (Pénitents Noirs, Augustins, Chartreuse). Five exceptional masterclasses brought together international singing masters. About twenty free events animated the bastide: open windows, pop-up opera at the markets, and choral singing workshops.
