Edition 2022 — Orléans Piano Competition

The 15th edition of the Orléans International Piano Competition took place from April 1st to 11th, 2022. The competition highlighted composer Philippe Manoury, who was celebrating his 70th birthday, with two compulsory works: Réseaux and Dérèglements. The final with the Ensemble intercontemporain crowned Lorenzo Soulès, Chisato Taniguchi, and Chi Ho Han.

15th Edition — Homage to Philippe Manoury

The 2022 edition of the Orléans International Piano Competition paid tribute to composer Philippe Manoury, president of the jury, on the occasion of his 70th birthday. The candidates performed two compulsory works commissioned from the composer: Réseaux (2'30) and Dérèglements (4'30).

Schedule

The competition took place from April 1st to 11th, 2022, in Orléans, with the first rounds on April 4th and 5th, the semi-final on April 7th, and the final on April 10th at the Théâtre d'Orléans. The three finalists performed Manoury's Passacaille pour Tokyo with the Ensemble intercontemporain. The laureates' concert was held on April 11th at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris.
