Edition 2024 — Orléans Piano Competition

The 16th edition celebrated the competition's 30th anniversary with a new international format: pre-selections in Chicago, Orléans, and Shanghai, followed by final rounds in Orléans in October. The compulsory work, Je suis Orage by Bastien David, was premiered by the finalists with the Ensemble intercontemporain. Svetlana Andreeva (Ukraine) won the 1st prize.

16th Edition — 30 Years of the Competition

The year 2024 marked the 30th anniversary of the Orléans International Piano Competition. For this historic edition, the competition adopted a new format with initial rounds held across three continents.

International Pre-selections

  • Chicago: March 16-17, 2024 (Roosevelt University)
  • Orléans: April 24-27, 2024 (Salle de l'Institut)
  • Shanghai: May 11-12, 2024 (Shanghai Conservatory)

Final Rounds in Orléans

  • Second Round: October 26-27, 2024
  • Semi-final: October 28-29, 2024
  • Final: November 2, 2024, at the Théâtre d'Orléans
  • Laureates' Concert: November 4, 2024, at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, Paris

Awards

  • 1st Prize: Svetlana Andreeva (Ukraine)
  • 2nd Prize: Leo Gevisser (United Kingdom / South Africa)
  • 3rd Prize: Misora Ozaki (Japan)

Jury

Chaired by Wilhelm Latchoumia, the jury included Winston Choi, Maroussia Gentet, Chen Jiang, Imri Talgam, and producer Anne Montaron.
