Edition 2025 — Pilat Cinema Solidarity
The 13th edition of the Pilat Cinema Solidarity Festival was held from November 8 to 29, 2025, in the cinemas and cultural venues of the Pilat Regional Natural Park. This edition featured a festive opening evening, 8 cinema-meetings, and a selection of works in 3 media libraries, focusing on films exploring themes of international solidarity, welcoming migrants, and peace.
13th Edition — November 8 to 29, 2025
The Pilat Cinema Solidarity Festival celebrated its 13th edition from November 8 to 29, 2025, taking over the cinemas and cultural venues of the Pilat region for three weeks. Organized by the Pilat Cinema Solidarity collective under the coordination of the Pilat Regional Natural Park, this edition highlighted the themes of international solidarity, welcoming migrants, and peace.
Festive Opening Evening
The festival kicked off on Saturday, November 8 in Pélussin with an event organized by the Pilat Solidarity Collective and the Croq'folk association. The program included a traditional dance workshop at 3 PM, a convivial meal at 7 PM, and a folk dance at 8:30 PM. Proceeds from this evening were donated to the collective supporting migrant families.
Cinema-Meetings
Eight cinema-meetings marked this edition in the region's partner venues:
- November 13 — CinéPilat, Pélussin (8 PM): Screening of Io Capitano by Matteo Garrone, followed by a debate on Mediterranean rescue with Dr. Pierre Micheletti
- November 16 — VEO Grand Lumière, Saint-Chamond (6 PM): Screening of France, une histoire d'amour, followed by discussions with the association Groseille & Ciboulette
- November 18 — Cinéma le Foyer, Bourg-Argental (8 PM): Screening of Veilleurs de nuit, with the director via video conference and the associations MRAP, DUDH, and ASTI
- November 19 — CinéPilat, Pélussin (10:15 AM): Public screening for young audiences with 5 short films (ages 3+), followed by a free juice break
- November 23 — CinéMolette, Saint-Julien-Molin-Molette (3 PM): Screening of Put Your Soul on Your Hand, followed by discussions with associations supporting Palestine and an oriental snack
- November 25 — Cinéma le Chaplin, Rive-de-Gier (8 PM): Screening of La Voix de Hind Rajab, with AFAP 42 and a chorba soup for €4

The media libraries of Pélussin, Bourg-Argental, and Saint-Genest-Malifaux offered a selection of works — books, comics, DVDs — related to the festival's themes.
