The 2025 Pilgrimage of Mary Magdalene in Vézelay brought together thousands of pilgrims on July 22nd for the solemnity of Saint Mary Magdalene. For the first time, half-day colloquiums titled 'Les Étés de la Basilique' preceded the feast, dedicated to the theme of Hope, within the framework of the Jubilee Year 2025.

Pilgrimage of Mary Magdalene 2025 – Jubilee Year
The annual pilgrimage of Mary Magdalene in Vézelay took on a special dimension in 2025 with the Jubilee Year. For the first time, July 22nd was preceded by half-day colloquiums, 'Les Étés de la Basilique', dedicated to the theme of Hope, in the spirit of the ordinary jubilee of 2025.
A jubilee itinerary was inaugurated to allow pilgrims for a day to celebrate the holy year and benefit from the plenary indulgence. The solemn Mass for the feast of Saint Mary Magdalene, presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese of Sens-Auxerre, brought together a large congregation in the Romanesque nave of the basilica, followed by a torchlight procession on the eternal hill of Vézelay.
