2024 Edition: Reblochon in the Spotlight at Bossonnet
The Reblochon and Crafts Festival was held on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Bossonnet, at the foot of the La Clusaz ski lifts. Over 6,000 spectators attended the artisanal production of farm-made reblochon in a large copper cauldron, parades of herds in period costumes, and demonstrations of old crafts.
The day began with the traditional open-air mass, followed by an aperitif concert and a countryside lunch. In the afternoon, the parade of cows, goats, and sheep accompanied by flower-adorned floats crossed the site to the applause of the public. The milking of the cows and the live production of reblochon were the most anticipated moments of the day. Artisans presented woodworking, wool spinning, and bread baking in the communal wood-fired oven.
