Edition 2025 — RMHP

37th Edition – Tribute to Pierre Boulez
The 37th edition of the Rencontres Musicales de Haute-Provence took place from July 20 to 25, 2025, in Forcalquier and the Priory of Salagon. Under the artistic direction of Jean-Guihen Queyras, this edition placed a vibrant tribute to Pierre Boulez at the heart of its programming on the centenary of his birth.
The Continuous Day on Sunday, July 20, opened the festival at the Forcalquier Cathedral with four hours of chamber music in free admission. The five evening concerts at the Cloister of the Cordeliers explored a rich and varied repertoire, from string quartets to works by Debussy, Brahms, Dvořák, Messiaen, and Boulez. Guitarist Emmanuel Rossfelder was the guest of honor at a dedicated evening, while the closing concert brought together works by Chausson, Boulez, and Attahir with the participation of percussionist Keyvan Chemirani.
The dawn concerts at the Citadel, free impromptus at the Cloister, and conferences at the Salle Pierre Michel punctuated the week, offering the public a complete musical immersion.
