Edition 2023 — Rencontres Musicales de La Baule
First edition of the Rencontres Musicales de La Baule, created for the centenary of the Parc des Dryades. Three excellent concerts at the Dryades amphitheater and at the Hôtel Barrière L'Hermitage, with the Quatuor Danel, the Quatuor Van Kuijk, Renaud Capuçon, and the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire.

1st Edition — Birth of a Festival
The Rencontres Musicales de La Baule were born in July 2023, on the occasion of the centenary of the Parc des Dryades. The association Opus 133, encouraged by the town of La Baule and its mayor Frank Louvrier, designed three exceptional evenings bringing together leading artists in the recently renovated amphitheater of the Parc des Dryades.
Three Founding Concerts
On Friday, July 7th, the opening concert featured the Danel Quartet and the Van Kuijk Quartet in an eight-string formation at the Hôtel Barrière L'Hermitage, with works by Schubert (Quartettsatz), Mozart (Quintet in G minor K. 516), and Mendelssohn (Octet op. 20).
On Sunday, July 9th, Renaud Capuçon and his friends — Anna Egholm, Manon Galy, Paul Zientara, Aurélien Pascal, and Guillaume Bellom — performed César Franck's Quintet and Chausson's Concert at the Parc des Dryades Amphitheater.
On Sunday, July 16th, the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, conducted by oboist Alexeï Ogrintchouk, closed this first edition with works by Weber, Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 2.
