6th Edition: Nine Bands for a Day of Regional Rock
On Saturday, September 12, 2015, the Rock DC festival took over the green amphitheater of Saint-Martin-les-Eaux for the sixth time. Nine bands from departments 04, 06, 13, and 84 performed on the festival's two stages, from 5 PM to 1 AM.
The lineup offered a varied panorama of the regional scene: Petit (04) in French acoustic songs, Yabuki (13) in pop rock, Blast (04) in French rock, Jostle (13) as a power rock trio, Dud (13) with punk influences, The Music Base Project (13-04) in psychedelic rock, Yuna Project (06) in hip-hop fusion mixing funk, soul, jazz, and metal, and SP95 (84) in progressive rock with African influences. A surprise band was also announced.
The 2015 edition also featured a roundtable discussion on amateur practices in contemporary music, organized in partnership with Arcade, the MJC of Manosque, and the association La Boîte à Musique. Camping was available on site, and a themed costume contest enlivened the evening.
