Edition 2025 — Saint-Nicolas Saint-Dié
The 2025 edition of the Saint Nicholas Festivities illuminated Saint-Dié-des-Vosges from December 6th to 24th. The grand parade on Saturday, December 6th, brought together nearly a thousand participants from 35 different groups in the streets of the city center. A notable novelty was an attempt at a world record for the longest caterpillar, organized on the sidelines of the procession. The Christmas craft market and the Village of Lights enlivened the Place du Général-de-Gaulle throughout the month.
2025 Edition: A World Record and a Grand Parade
The 2025 edition of the Saint Nicholas Festivities left a lasting impression with an attempt at a world record for the longest caterpillar, organized on Saturday, December 6th, on the sidelines of the grand parade. Nearly a thousand participants from 35 groups — illuminated floats, brass bands, costumed groups — paraded through the streets of the city for the delight of thousands of spectators gathered along the route. The Village of Lights, a new feature built by volunteers from the Festival Committee, unveiled life-size replicas of four emblematic French monuments, including the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. The Christmas craft market welcomed visitors to the Place du Général-de-Gaulle from December 6th to 24th.
