Edition 2025 — Son et Lumière de Lapalisse
The 2025 edition of the Son et Lumière de Lapalisse presented the creation "Once upon a time... Monsieur de La Palice", celebrating the 500th anniversary of the death of Marshal Jacques II de Chabannes. Nearly 80 volunteers from Les Compagnons du Temps and the company Chevaux de prestige brought to life living tableaux recounting the life of the famous lord, accompanied by video mapping, pyrotechnics, and equestrian scenes projected on the castle facade.

2025 Edition: "Once upon a time... Monsieur de La Palice"
The 2025 edition of the Son et Lumière de Lapalisse paid tribute to the famous Marshal de La Palice, Jacques II de Chabannes, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of his death at the Battle of Pavia in 1525. This entirely original creation retraced the life of the lord of La Palice, from his childhood to his heroic death on the battlefield, through colorful living tableaux performed by the volunteers of the association Les Compagnons du Temps.
The video mapping by the Chromatik studio projected onto the castle facade, the light effects, the pyrotechnics, and the equestrian performances by the company Chevaux de prestige, including a jousting tournament, created an immersive and spectacular show. The performances took place from July 25th to 27th, and then from July 31st to August 3rd, 2025, starting at 10 PM.

- 11:30 PM: End of the show and final pyrotechnic display
